The NIT, Patna is renowned for its excellence in high-quality education, training and research in the field of Science, Engineering Technology & Humanities. NIT, Patna is a co-ed institution that offers multiple undergraduate courses like B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering; and B.Arch. Students willing to take admission in NIT, Patna must qualify for the JEE (Main) exam. Scores obtained in the JEE (Main) determine the allocation of seats for students. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) / Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) conducts a Common Counseling Process for students. Besides, students must have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognised board of secondary education. Students shall get various scholarships under SitaRam Jindal Foundation.
A Training and Placement cell at NIT, Patna operates all the placement activities for students and even holds a good relationship with reputable organizations. Students get placed every year in companies like Amazon, Oracle, L&T, Adobe, Cognizant, Jio, and many others.
A vast traditional library with numerous books and e-resources, various course based labs, and well-furnished classrooms are among the major academic facilities that the NIT, Patna provides. Apart from this, the NIT, Patna also has separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, medical facilities with 2 doctors and an on-campus ATM.

Admission Procedure
The National Institute of Technology, Patna runs an admission procedure for the students (co-ed) in courses of Engineering, and Architecture based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) via the JoSAA/CSAB portal. Candidates must go to the examination website's official webpage to receive the necessary information and apply. Following their participation, candidates must get the required qualifying marks to meet the NIT Patna's cut-off in order to register for the appropriate course, which is followed by the candidates' final admission procedure with the admission fee payment.
Integrated programmes and M.Tech are also available at NIT Patna. For admission to the course, a valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score is necessary.
