The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Goa is one of the region's most prestigious technical institutes. NIT, Goa is a 'National Institute of National Importance' that was created in 2010 by an act of parliament (NIT act 2007). Admission Procedure
The National Institute of Technology, Goa runs an admission procedure for the students (co-ed) in courses of Engineering (B.Tech) based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) via the JoSAA/CSAB portal. Candidates must go to the examination website's official webpage to receive the necessary information and apply. Following their participation, candidates must get the required qualifying marks to meet the NIT, Goa's cut-off in order to register for the appropriate course, which is followed by the candidates' final admission procedure with the admission fee payment.
Candidates with a B.E./B. A tech degree and a good Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score are required for enrollment in an M.Tech course. All National Institutes of Technology (NITs) will use Centralized Counselling for M.Tech. (CCMT) for admission to M.Tech programmes. Candidates for the PhD programme must have a master's degree and at least 60% overall.

A total of 112 students interned at over 40 different organisations and businesses. The internship at CERN, where three students from each of the three areas interned for two months in Geneva, Switzerland, was the most important.
