National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh (NIT Andhra Pradesh) is regarded as the 31st institution amongst the array of NIT’s initiated by the government of India. Established in the recent academic year of 2015-16.
NIT Andhra Pradesh features exceptionally qualified faculty members to help the students reach their future goals.
At present the NIT Andhra Pradesh offers undergraduate courses in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. The final admissions at NIT Andhra Pradesh are granted based on JEE (Mains) via the JoSAA/CSAB. Students willing to apply in the NIT Andhra Pradesh can consider studying the CSAB portal.
Scholarships like Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship, Jnanabhumi are also offered to the candidates.

To provide its students a peaceful learning and reading environment NIT Andhra Pradesh features a huge well stocked Central library. Students here have access to laboratories of different departments namely the Chemical Technology lab, Engineering geology lab, Data structure lab and many more. Different grounds and courts for playing games like Football, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Running/Jogging Track, Badminton and other such games are even present within the vicinity of the campus. Furthermore, the NIT Andhra Pradesh also provides for dispensary and bus shuttle services.

Admission Procedure
National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh runs an admission procedure for the students (co-ed) in courses of Engineering (B.Tech) based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) via the JoSAA/CSAB portal. Candidates must go to the examination website's official webpage to receive the necessary information and apply. Following their participation, candidates must get the required qualifying marks to meet the NIT Andhra Pradesh's cut-off in order to register in the appropriate course, which is followed by the candidates' final admission procedure with the admission fee payment.
Additionally, NIT Andhra Pradesh grants PhD, MS (Research), and M.Tech degrees. Candidates for the M.Tech programme are chosen based on their GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) results. The candidate's performance in the written test and/or interview determines their eligibility for admission to NIT's MS (Research) course. Candidates seeking Admission to PhD course must have a Master's degree with at least 60% marks from a recognized university and a valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE score

National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh promotes industry-institute collaboration through organising and coordinating frequent industrial visits, in-plant training, and industrially relevant projects for students, all with the goal of bridging the gap between industry and academia. The cell maintains a database of almost 500 companies in its active file. Through customised professional coaching, assists each student in defining his or her career interests. Makes available up-to-date corporate data and employment profiles, assisting each student in analysing and selecting a company of interest. To meet its objective of a career for every aspirant, organizes and coordinates campus placement programmes. Receives and forwards comments from visiting companies in order to improve the curriculum and ensure that our students are industry-ready.
