National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali (NIPER Mohali), was established in 1998 and is an autonomous body under the aegis of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Government of India has accorded NIPER Mohali the status of an 'Institute of National Importance'. NIPER Mohali has been recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and is a premier institute for imparting high-quality pharma education and research.
NIPER Mohali offers various postgraduate courses such as Master of Science (MS), Master of Pharmacy (MPharm), Master of Technology (MTech), and Master of Business Administration (MBA). NIPER Mohali also offers doctoral Ph.D. courses in the fields of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Admission to the postgraduate courses is based on the NIPER Joint Entrance Examination (NIPER JEE).

Admissions to the various postgraduate programmes at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali (NIPER Mohali), is based on students' merit in NIPER Joint Entrance Examination (NIPER JEE). Students can apply for the examination online, and participate in the counseling process after qualifying, in order to secure their seat at NIPER Mohali.
