Established in 2007, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizer, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Kolkata (NIPER Kolkata) was designated by the Government of India as an Institution of National Importance through the NIPER Act 1998 & NIPER Amendment Act 2007. This Centre of Excellence for higher education, research, and development in Pharmaceutical Sciences, enables India to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas to not only South East Asia, South Asia, and Africa, but also the world.

NIPER Kolkata offer M.S. (Pharm.) in  Medicinal Chemistry, Natural Products and Pharmacoinformatics, Pharmacology & Toxicology,  Medical Devices,  Pharmaceutics and PhD in Medicinal Chemistry, Natural Products, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Pharmaceutics. 

The professors at NIPER Kolkata are a wealth of knowledge and excellent sources for their students. Their focus is primarily on the entire learning process, and they use a variety of interesting teaching strategies in their classes. The teachers adhere to the recognised "hands-on experience" approaches to improve the learning opportunities for the students. 

NIPER Kolkata is one of the premier technical and research institutes in India. Admission Procedure

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Kolkata offer M.S. (Pharm.) in  Medicinal Chemistry, Natural Products and Pharmacoinformatics, Pharmacology & Toxicology,  Medical Devices,  Pharmaceutics and PhD in Medicinal Chemistry, Natural Products, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Pharmaceutics. 

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) results are used to determine admission to any NIPER Kolkata programme. GPAT is organised and administered annually by NIPERs.In order to be accepted into the M.S. (Pharm) programme, the applicant must be a graduate of an accredited university with a relevant stream. And for PHD, the Candidate must hold a postgraduate degree from a recognized university.
