National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management, Sonipat (NIFTEM Sonipat) is an autonomous institute currently accorded with Deemed to be University. It was established in the year 2012 by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries of India.

NIFTEM Sonipat offers its undergraduate program with Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] in Food Technology; postgraduate degree with Master of Technology [M.Tech] in the specialisations like Food Supply Chain Management, Food Safety and Quality Management, Food Technology and Management, Food Plant Operations Management, etc. There is also a regular Master of Business Administration [MBA] postgraduate scope. The doctoral programs are awarded with Ph.D. degree branches of Science and food technology with specialisation in Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Basic and Applied Sciences, Food Science and Technology, Food Business Management and Entrepreneurship Development, and Food Engineering.

Admission Procedure
National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management, Sonipat conducts its admission process according to the guidelines of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The students interested in seeking admission at NIFTEM Sonipat can apply through the official website of the institute. The admissions for the undergraduate degree courses are made according to the merits secured by the students in their 10+2 or equivalent degree course in PCM or PCB from a recognised board along with the merits secured by the students in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains). The selection of the applicants for the postgraduate degree courses is made according to the merits secured by the students in their undergraduate degree course in the relevant subject discipline from a recognised university along with the merits secured by the students in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examinations. For the doctoral degree courses the selection of the applicants are made according to the merits secured by the students in their postgraduate degree course in the relevant subject discipline from a recognised university.
