National Institute of Fashion Technology, Navi Mumbai (NIFT Navi Mumbai) was established in 1995 and has become one of the leading institutes across the country in the field of fashion technology. The autonomous institute holds a well-experienced faculty who are dedicated to providing quality education and training for fashion design students. The students are offered hands-on industry training and real-life projects by the world-renowned faculty of NIFT Navi Mumbai.

Undergraduate courses offered by NIFT Navi Mumbai, include B.Des Accessory Design, B.Des Textile Design, B.Des Knitwear Design, B.Des Fashion Communication, B.Des Fashion Design, and B.FTech - Apparel Production. Besides, these courses a diploma course in Fashion Fit & Style (FFS) is also available. Students willing to take admitted to undergraduate courses have to qualify for the NIFT Entrance Exam which consists of three rounds such as the Creative Ability Test (CAT), the General Ability Test (GAT), and the Situation Test. Admission to the UG-Diploma course is based on academic merit. GAT is the selection criteria for students seeking admission to B.F.Tech. Students from economically weaker sections can avail of NIFT's Means-cum-Merit Financial Assistance to enhance their potential. Students are provided with proper training, industrial exposure and opportunities at NIFT Navi Mumbai. The centralized placement process of the institute has three channels - on-campus placements, pre-placement offers, and off-campus placements. Tata Cliq, Chanel India Pvt. Ltd. ABFRL, Future Group, Reliance Brands, Pantaloons, Nykaa, Bestseller, Tata Trent, Suditi Industries, Banswara Garments, Projekt Indigo, Radnik exports, Imaginarium IndiaPvt. Ltd., Shoppers stop, Marks & Spencer, PepeJeans, Inticede, Airtel, and PhonePe are among the top recruiters who take part in placement drives at NIFT Navi Mumbai.

Basic amenities provided by NIFT Navi Mumbai include a traditional library, an outdoor sports complex, and various laboratories such as Leather Lab, Jewellery Lab, Painting Lab, Surface Design Lab, Weaving Lab, Textile Testing Lab, CAD Lab, Visual Merchandising Lab and more, design studio, design and creative thinking studio, machine room and materials workshop, welding workshop, Wi-Fi enabled campus, well-equipped smart classrooms and an auditorium. A ramp room for in-house fashion shows and competitions, medical facilities and a cafeteria are also available for students.

Admission Procedure

B.Des, B.F.Tech, UG-PG Diploma, M.Des and Master of Fashion Management MFM are some of the programs available at National Institute of Fashion Technology, Navi Mumbai. Aside from that, NIFT Navi Mumbai offers a variety of Continuing Education Programs (CEP). The NIFT Entrance Exam is used to determine admission to UG and PG  programmes. The Creative Ability Test (CAT), the General Ability Test (GAT), and the Situation Test round make up the NIFT Entrance Exam. GAT is the selection criteria for B.F.Tech and admission to the UG-diploma course are done on a merit basis.

Campus Placements at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Navi Mumbai provides a platform for graduating students from diverse disciplines in two-year postgraduate and four-year undergraduate programmes to achieve their professional hopes and objectives, and consequently requires employer organizations' active and persistent participation. The placement process of NIFTs are centralised. Companies can hire students from any of the NIFT campuses or courses through three channels that the institute facilitates: on-campus placements, pre-placement offers, and off-campus placements. Scholarships

Every year, a significant amount of money from the NIFT Development Fund is put to good use in the area of scholarship. "NIFT's Means-cum-Merit Financial Assistance" plan allows students from low-income families to receive reduced tuition at any of its campuses in order to maximise their potential.
