National Institute of Design, Madhya Pradesh (NID Madhya Pradesh), the autonomous institute under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India, was declared an Institute of National Importance (INI) after the President gave assent to the National Institute of Design (Amendment) Act, 2019 on 29th November 2019. NID Madhya Pradesh started learning and teaching activities in the academic year 2019–20 and has grown since then.
NID Madhya Pradesh offers only BDes degree. NID Madhya Pradesh follows the online admission procedure and the application form can be obtained from the college's website.
The campus of NID Madhya Pradesh spans 29.49 acres and is located in a picturesque location with hills in the backdrop. The campus boasts of a state-of-the-art infrastructure that has been created by the appropriate use of technology and innovation. The classrooms are well-furnished, providing a conducive learning environment for the students. There are also workshops and labs that provide hands-on experience to the students in their respective domains. The well-stocked library provides access to print, online, and multimedia resources, which enables the students to enhance their knowledge and research skills. NID Madhya Pradesh also has indoor and outdoor sports facilities such as a football ground, cricket pitch, badminton court, volleyball court, basketball court, carrom, table tennis, chess, etc. These facilities help in the all-around development of the students. The auditorium has a capacity of 500 plus audience and is used to conduct events such as talks, discussions, conferences, workshops, seminars, meetings, placement activities, cultural events, etc. The modern health center has a gymnasium, aerobics & yoga center, etc., which promotes fitness as well as inner health. The medical room is well-attended, with experienced practitioners taking care of the physical well-being of the students. NID Madhya Pradesh provides fully furnished separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels are equipped with all the necessary facilities to ensure the comfort and safety of the students. The mess facility provides good quality, healthy, and nutritious meals to the students.
NID Madhya Pradesh has launched several programs to enable its students to apply for external scholarships. B.Des students can apply for these scholarships, which will help them cover their tuition fees. The available scholarships include the Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojna, offered by the state of Madhya Pradesh, and the Government of India Scholarships.
Admission Procedure
National Institute of Design, Madhya Pradesh uses an online admissions process. An entrance exam and a merit list based on the necessary grades are used to handle admissions to NID Madhya Pradesh. There are several different courses and specialisations offered by NID Madhya Pradesh. Candidates must fulfill all eligibility requirements for the course they are applying for to apply for their undergraduate degrees. The requirement is that the candidates get a valid score on Design Aptitude Test ( NID DAT) to be admitted to B.Des programmes. All students must have passed their 10+2 school exam from an established secondary education board.

Scholarships
National Institute of Design, Madhya Pradesh has started several initiatives to help students apply for various outside scholarships. Students can apply for scholarships through the B.Des degree through the institute. These scholarships support students by helping them pay their tuition costs. The scholarship includes- 'Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojna' in the state of Madhya Pradesh and Government of India National Scholarships.
