National Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Ranchi (NIAMT Ranchi) was established in 1966 by the Government of India with the assistance of UNESCO in its erstwhile name National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology. It is currently affiliated with Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT).
NIAMT Ranchi has evolved a four-tier academic framework involving from undergraduate to doctoral courses, including Advanced Diploma in the relevant fields of study. The undergraduate Bachelor of Tachnology [B. Tech] courses that are offered by NIAMT Ranchi are in the different branches of engineering namely, Production and Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, etc. The postgraduate program is offered with the degree of Master of Technology [M. Tech.] in Environmental Engineering, Foundry-Forge Technology, Industrial Metallurgy, etc. Doctoral programs are also there in several divisions of engineering and science-Forge Technology, Foundry Technology, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Applied Science and Humanities, and Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering, which are conferred with Ph. D. degrees. Students may consider enrolling in Advance Diplima courses in Foundry Technology and Forge Technology.
The entire NIAMT Ranchi receives Wi-Fi service. It is a residential campus that has separate Girls’ and Boys’ hostels with a sufficient capacity dining hall and other liveable facilities. The library adorns an impeccable service by providing an ample number of printed text resources and online reading and reference materials from avid sources of academic journals, papers and so on. The exquisite classrooms and laboratories are high-tech enabled to prolifer and integrate the learning experience.

Admission Procedure
National Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Ranchi conducts its admission process according to the admission guidelines of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The students interested in seeking admission at NIAMT Ranchi can apply through the official website of the institute. The admissions for the undergraduate courses are made according to the merits secured by the students in their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board in PCM or PCB along with the merits secured through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). The selection of the applicants in their postgraduate degree course is made according to the merits secured by the applicants in their undergraduate degree course in the relevant technological subject from a recognized university along with the merits secured by the applicant in their Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examinations.
