National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU Gandhinagar) is a public university located in the city of Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. It was established in 2009 by the Government of India through the National Forensic Sciences University Act. NFSU Gandhinagar is the first and only university in India that is solely dedicated to teaching and research in forensic science, criminology, and related areas.
NFSU Gandhinagar offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various disciplines related to forensic science, including forensic biology, forensic chemistry, forensic physics, cyber forensics, forensic psychology, and criminology. It also offers diploma and certificate courses in areas such as forensic accounting, forensic photography, and forensic document examination. The subjects are part of different departmental schools of NFSU Gandhinagar, e.g. - School of Law Forensic Justice & Policy Studies, Department of Behavioural Forensics, Department of Cyber Security & Digital Forensics, Department of Police Science and Security Studies, School of Earth, Space and Internet Technologies, etc.
NFSU Gandhinagar has state-of-the-art facilities for research and teaching, including laboratories equipped with advanced instruments and equipment, a library with a vast collection of books and journals, and modern classrooms and auditoriums. It also has collaborations with national and international organisations and institutions, such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Interpol, to facilitate research and training in forensic science. NFSU Gandhinagar has an extremely efficient placement cell that helps students to get placed in appropriate roles as per their specialisations and interest areas in their dream employers.

Admission Procedure
The National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar course offerings primarily consist of PG Diploma, M.Sc, M.A, M.Tech, Integrated, MBA, and Doctoral degrees in various specialities. Candidates for undergraduate admission must have a 10+2 diploma from a recognised board in the relevant stream, and candidates for postgraduate admission must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% of the required marks from an accredited institution. To enrol in a law programme, applicants must pass the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
NFSU Gandhinagar admits students solely on the basis of the entrance exam and any additional requirements that may be periodically decided upon by NFSU Gandhinagar. The university chooses the top students by holding entrance exams across all of India. Additionally, the university favours GATE-qualified students with good scores.

The National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar faculty is very supportive and helpful. The professors have a great deal of passion for their students and help them to realise their goals in addition to giving engaging classroom lectures with knowledgeable, practical insights. Placements
National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar conducts forensic science, cybercrime crime investigation, digital forensics, cyber security, fraud investigation, and other training programmes for in-service personnel. The university offers specialised training programmes based on the needs of police officers, judges, forensic experts, security guards, doctors, lawyers, army officers, senior vigilance officers in the banking and insurance industries, forest officers, NIA, NDCB, IAS, IFS, CBI, income tax, and public and private sector undertakings.
In order to provide internship and/or job placement in the fields of forensic sciences, behavioural sciences, forensic accounting, homeland security, cyber security, digital forensics, pharmacy, and forensic civil structural engineering, among others, NFSU Gandhinagar warmly welcomes internationally renowned recruiters.
