Narasaraopeta Engineering College, Narasaraopet (NEC Narasaraopet), was established in 1998 and is sponsored by the Gayatri Educational Development Society. NEC Narasaraopet is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
NEC Narasaraopet offers undergraduate (UG) courses that lead to a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree and postgraduate (PG) courses that lead to Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees. Nasaraopeta Engineering College, Nasaraopet conducts its admission process according to the admission guidelines of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The students interested in seeking admission at NEC Nasaraopet can apply through the official website of the institute. The admissions for the undergraduate courses are made according to the merits secured by the students in their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board in PCM or PCB along with the merits secured through the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP-EAMCET). The selection of the applicants in their postgraduate degree course is made according to the merits secured by the applicants in their undergraduate degree course in the relevant technological subject from a recognised university along with the merits secured by the applicant in their Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examinations or the Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test.
