Naba Ballygunge Mahavidyalaya, Kolkata (NBM Kolkata) formerly known as Charuchandra Evening College, was founded in 1985 and was renamed Naba Ballygunge Mahavidyalaya (New Ballygunge College) in 2005. NBM Kolkata is co-educational and offers Commerce and Arts programs. NBM Kolkata gained recognition as time went on and started to amass award after award for academic excellence, participation in games and sports, and cultural achievements. The University Grants Commission has given NBM Kolkata its approval and it is affiliated with the University of Calcutta.

NBM Kolkata offers BA, BA(H), B.Com, B.Com(H), B.Sc, B.Sc (H), MA, and M.Com degrees. NBM Kolkata follows the online admission procedure.

NBM Kolkata has a dedicated and trained faculty. The goal of the faculty is to deliver the best education and instruction possible to the students.

The library has 1150 square feet in total. More than ten thousand (>10,000) books and numerous journals are housed in the library. Two journals are regularly subscribed to by the library. 35 seats are available for reference work. This library is a participant in N-LIST, an MHRD-funded project supported by INFLIBNET that offers electronic access to about 6000 journals and 1,35,000 e-books. In addition, numerous uncounted open-access journals are accessible via DOAJ and other portals connected to our website. NBM Kolkata is proud of its spacious auditorium, which hosts a number of annual programs.
