Muralidhar Girls' College (MGC, Kolkata) located in the center of Kolkata, at Gariahat, is one of the finest women's educational institutions in Kolkata, West Bengal. MGC, Kolkata had a modest beginning in 1940 AD, but it progressively rose to great heights over a period of 79 years in academics, N.C.C., and N.S.S., establishing itself as a historic institution. Under sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, MGC, Kolkata is currently listed in the UGC panel of recognized colleges (in West Bengal). Additionally, it is registered under the 1961 West Bengal Societies Registration Act. 2018 saw MGC, Kolkata receive the prestigious RUSA Grant of two crores from UGC for its growth and improvement.
