The Mount Carmel College (MCC), is a private college in Bangalore, originally established in Kerala in the year 1948.
The MCC offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as integrated courses, PG Diplomas and PhDs in various fields.
The MCC's five departments are Science, Humanities, Commerce & Management, Education and Home Science. It offers courses like B.Sc. in Fashion and Apparel Design, Interior Design Management, and Composite Home Science; BCom; and BBA at the undergraduate level.
MCC is currently affiliated with Bangalore University and holds autonomous status. They were also given an A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the year 2006. MCC have also consistently been ranked as one of the top private colleges in the city. Furthermore, MCC also has a robust scholarship programme in place.

Admission Procedure
Mount Carmel College, Bangalore admissions are conducted online. To apply, students need to fill out online forms and pay the application fees. Students are admitted purely based on merit - however, a basic eligibility criterion for their undergraduate degrees is the 10+2 school-leaving examination conducted by a recognised board. After applying, depending on the course applied for, students must appear for an interview. The names of students qualifying for the interview round are announced by the MCC ahead of the interview dates. Deserving students from weaker economic backgrounds are also supported with a significant number of scholarships, and financial and non-financial support.
MCC Bangalore also offers M.A., M.Com, M.Sc, postgraduate diplomas and PhD degrees in Humanities, Sciences, Commerce, and Computers. Admission to all PG programs is based on merit. Candidates for admission to all master's programmes must hold bachelor's degrees from accredited institutions with a minimum cumulative GPA of 50%. A candidate for a PhD must possess a Master's degree with at least 60% overall. Additionally, the MB programme requires a valid Common Admission Test (CAT), Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), Management Aptitude Test (MAT), Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET), or Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) result.
Faculty
The faculty of Mount Carmel College members are really helpful and friendly. In terms of the syllabus and course curriculum provided for the course, there was indeed great exposure to the practical application of theoretical knowledge gained from daily scheduled classes.The teachers are helpful, extremely well educated and qualified from reputable institutions.
Placements
Placements at Mount Carmel College, Bangalore begin in August and all eligible students can apply. MCC also have a dedicated placement cell that works yearlong, conducting seminars and workshops, to prepare students to secure the best possible jobs and offers. They also ensure that students have adequate internship opportunities so that they gain real-life professional experience. The highest number of students placed through the campusing initiative usually get into the IT sector, followed by other sectors. Students are able to secure competitive salaries. The MCC campusing sees the likes of companies like Google, Capgemini, IBM, Accenture and Goldman Sachs looking for talented freshers.

Mount Carmel College grants several private scholarships for needy deserving students. These private scholarships have been instituted by the alumni, staff, and the general public. The Management which is working towards its goal of Empowering through Education also provides extensive financial and non-financial support to deserving students. Management/ Institutional Scholarships are provided to academically deserving and needy students based on the verification of necessary documents.
