Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj (MNNITA Prayagraj), located in Allahabad, was established in 1961 and was the first technology institute of India to offer an undergraduate degree in Computer Science & Engineering in 1976-77. It has been recognized as one of the best institutions across the country for its academic excellence and advanced training programs in the field of technology innovation.
The Government-run institute is considered to be a ‘Deemed University’. MNNITA Prayagraj is a co-ed university that is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and University Grants Commission (UGC) as well.

Admission Procedure
Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj runs an admission procedure for the students (co-ed) in courses of Engineering (B.Tech) based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) via the JoSAA/CSAB portal. Candidates must go to the examination website's official webpage to receive the necessary information and apply. Following their participation, candidates must get the required qualifying marks to meet the MNNITA, Prayagraj cut-off to register for the appropriate course, which is followed by the candidates' final admission procedure with the admission fee payment.
MNNITA, Prayagraj also offers M.Tech, M.sc, MBA, MCA and PhD. On the basis of the Common Admission Test (CAT) percentile, prospective MBA candidates are shortlisted, and to make a decision, group discussions and individual interviews are held. Candidates with Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) qualifications may enrol in the MTech programme. For PhD course, a candidate must hold a Master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks.
