Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), located in Bhopal, was established in 1960 and has emerged as one of the leading institutes across the country in the field of technology. The Government-run institute of MANIT is renowned for providing technical and professional knowledge at global level.
The MANIT is an autonomous institute which is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has been ranked 20th in ‘Architecture’ Category and 60th in the ‘Engineering’ Category in the year 2021.
Students are helped by a group of faculty members who are dedicated to imparting quality knowledge including both conceptual and practical. The admission process at the MANIT is based on the entrance exam (JEE) administered by JoSAA/CSAB. Candidates willing to take admission to UG courses in Engineering, Architecture, and Planning are required to secure valid marks in the entrance test. Students must have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognised board of secondary education.
Numerous scholarship offers including Awas Sahatya, Gaon Ke Beti, Pratibha kiran, Merity Scholarship, Pre Matric Scholarship Schemes for Minorities, Post Matric Scholarship Schemes for Minorities, Merit Cum Means for Professionals and Technical Courses CS, Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship For College and University Students are provided to students.
A well-versed Training and Placement Cell at MANIT, provides proper training and handwork experience for entering the corporate world. Top recruiters such as Epic, Nutanix, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, and Amazon take part in placement drives which observe the highest package of 20 LPA and an average of 7.57 LPA. The MANIT made a record of recruiting 82% students in placement session 2019-20. Every year, over 72% students get recruited from all of the branches.
MANIT includes all the basic amenities required for students such as a large traditional library, a digital library, laboratories with Central Computing Facility, hostel accommodation separate for boys and girls, an indoor gymnasium, sports facilities for playing football, cricket, basketball, volleyball and more, medical facilities with 2 dispensaries, classrooms, an auditorium with 800 accommodation capacity, shuttle services, on-campus WIFI access and a cafeteria.

Admission Procedure
The Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal runs an admission procedure for the students (co-ed) in courses of Engineering, Architecture and Planning based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) via the JoSAA/CSAB portal. Candidates must go to the examination website's official webpage to receive the necessary information and apply. Following their participation, candidates must get the required qualifying marks to meet the MANIT's cut-off in order to register for the appropriate course, which is followed by the candidates' final admission procedure with the admission fee payment.
MANIT Bhopal also offers postgraduate degrees in M.Tech, M.Plan, M.A, M.Sc, MCA and MBA and Doctoral degrees (PhD) in various departments. Candidates with a master's degree minimum of 60% marks and a valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score are eligible to be admitted for a PhD course. And for all the postgraduate degree candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with a relevant stream.
