Manipal School of Life Sciences (MSLS), Manipal was established in 2006 to offer quality education, research, and training in the areas of life sciences related to human health. Being a constituent institute of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), and recognized as an Institute of Eminence (IOE) by the University Grants Commission (UGC), it has become one of the best biotechnological institutions in India. MSLS Manipal offers two undergraduate courses: B.Sc (Biotechnology) and B.Sc.(Hons) in Biotechnology. Students seeking admission to MSLS Manipal have to register themselves through the official website of MAHE, Manipal. Selection of candidates is through an online entrance test conducted by the university. Selected candidates must fill out the necessary details in the application form and upload scanned copies of relevant documents.
A well-experienced placement cell of MSLS Manipal is dedicated to place students in reputable companies such as Advinus, Aurigene, Biocon India, Enzene, Genotypic, Himalaya Healthcare, Natural Remedies, Serum Institute, Syngene, Thermo Fisher Scientific and many others. However, most of the graduates register for higher degrees at reputed institutions in India and abroad. Basic academic amenities provided by the institute include spacious classrooms and laboratories (routine and high-end facilities).

Admission Procedure
Students seeking admission to programs at Manipal School of Life Sciences, Manipal must visit the official website to enroll for the B.Sc. Biotechnology program. Before being allowed to access the application form, candidates must confirm their email address with an OTP and get registered. Once the candidates have filled out the details in the application form and uploaded the scanned copies of the necessary documents, they will be notified about the online Manipal Entrance Test (MET), which forms the basis for admission. Candidates have to take part in MET, followed by counseling, based on which the final admission procedure will be carried out.
MSLS Manipal also offers a postgraduate degree (Master of Science) in eight different specializations. Admissions are through the online Manipal Entrance Test (MET) for six specializations, and through merit for two specializations. Candidates for the M.Sc. programs must possess an undergraduate degree in science or an equivalent degree from an accredited university. A PG Diploma in Cellular & Molecular Diagnostics program is also offered, for which candidates must take the Karnataka Biotechnology Aptitude Test, as and when announced by the government. Final admission is based on merit and academic records.
