Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC), located in Manipal, was established in 1997 with the aim to provide quality education in the field of media. Admission Procedure

In the fields of media, communication, and animation, the Manipal Institute of Communication Manipal provides undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies. Candidates who want to apply for UG and PG programmes can do so online. In the case of B.AB.Sc, B.Voc, M.A  and PG Diploma degrees, MIC Manipal entrance is based on the Manipal Entrance Test (MET), which is administered by the institute itself, followed by a Portfolio of Work (POW) and Personal Interview, and for other courses, it is based on the MET itself.

Scholarships

MIC provides different scholarships for UG and PG students. "Scholar and Achiever Scholarships" are available for all undergraduate and graduate programmes in MIC.

  • For UG programmes, a minimum of 80% (as per selection criteria) in 10+2 from a recognized board is required.

  • MET Rank would be used for awarding Scholarships for UG and PG programmes, if the candidate meets the above-mentioned minimum eligibility conditions for the Scholarship.

  • Achiever Scholarships account for 5% of the general category intake for each branch/program and are awarded at the start of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th years, respectively, based on annual academic performance in the preceding year, i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years, depending on the program duration.
