Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC), located in Manipal, was established in 1997 with the aim to provide quality education in the field of media. The private institute is affiliated with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education and has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). A central library having 13000 books and journals, sound and TV labs for hands-on training in audio-visual content production featuring cutting-edge technology such as digital mixers, cameras, lighting equipment, post-production workstations, vision mixing consoles, a community radio station, fully air-conditioned classrooms are among the major facilities provided by MIC Manipal. Admission Procedure
In the fields of media, communication, and animation, the Manipal Institute of Communication Manipal provides undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies. Candidates who want to apply for UG and PG programmes can do so online. Scholarships
MIC provides different scholarships for UG and PG students. "Scholar and Achiever Scholarships" are available for all undergraduate and graduate programmes in MIC.
For UG programmes, a minimum of 80% (as per selection criteria) in 10+2 from a recognized board is required.
MET Rank would be used for awarding Scholarships for UG and PG programmes, if the candidate meets the above-mentioned minimum eligibility conditions for the Scholarship.
Achiever Scholarships account for 5% of the general category intake for each branch/program and are awarded at the start of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th years, respectively, based on annual academic performance in the preceding year, i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years, depending on the program duration.
