Manipal College of Health Professions (MCHP), situated in Manipal, laid its foundation in 1999 with a major goal to disseminate quality education in the areas of allied health. Previously it was known as the School of Allied Health Sciences. MCHP Manipal, being the first institute in India to offer education in the field of allied health professions, has been approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and has its affiliation with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). Students are taught by excellent faculty members at MCHP. Understandable and reciprocating teaching methods are used by the faculty to teach in a better way.
MCHP Manipal is a co-ed institution which offers a number of undergraduate degrees like Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP); Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT); Bachelor in Radiotherapy Technology; B.Sc in Renal Replacement Therapy and Dialysis Technology, MIT – Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, RT - Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy. The admission process at MCHP is done online. Candidates seeking admission have to apply through the online application portal, fill up the form and submit the requisite documents. Students who are selected for admission must appear for online counselling. Students are required to qualify for the Higher Secondary Examination from any recognised board.
A range of scholarships and financial aid opportunities for meritorious students from economically weaker sections is also available at MCHP. Besides availing scholarships from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), students can get other scholarships like 'Kalam-Pai, Freeship and Scholars Scholarship for MBBS and BDS Programs', ‘Scholarship for Allied Health Programs at Manipal TATA Medical College (MTMC) Jamshedpur', 'Scholar and Achiever Scholarship for All Other Under Graduate (UG) programs and many more. A traditional library, smart classrooms, on-campus Wi-Fi access and laboratories are there to encourage students in academics. Other facilities provided by MCHP Manipal, include a recreation room, medical facilities and a cafeteria.

A candidate seeking admission to a Master's degree must be qualified Manipal Entrance Test or National Entrance Test as per the stream required.
