Established in 1999, Manipal College of Health Professions (MCHP), Mangalore is the first institute exclusive to the education of allied health professionals. Formerly known as the School of Allied Health Sciences, MCHP strives to train healthcare professionals who can create a difference. Manipal College of Health Professionals, Mangalore is a private institute affiliated with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). MCHP is recognized as “Excellent” by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), the statutory body under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
Manipal College of Health Professions (MCHP), Mangalore has a group of faculty members committed to the development of the students through an interactive approach. The faculty members are available for the students round the clock and are very approachable. MCHP offers a number of courses at the undergraduate level. They include a 3 years course in Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP), 4 years of courses in Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and 4 years of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degrees in Cardiovascular Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Radiotherapy Technology, Renal Replacement Therapy & Dialysis Technology and Respiratory Therapy.
The candidates seeking admission to the Institute must qualify for their 10+2 board examinations from a recognized Board or Council in India. The application procedure is done through the online portal where the candidate must apply. The eligible candidates have to undergo a round of counselling to secure admission. The students can avail a number of scholarships such as the Scholarship scheme on interest subsidy on education loans for Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) students. AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver, Scholar and Achiever Scholarship, etc. among others.
The campus of MCHP is WiFi enabled and has smart classrooms, a library with all the necessary study materials as well reference books, journals, etc. as well as modern laboratories with upgraded equipment for the students. Additional facilities include a cafeteria, recreation room and round-the-clock medical facilities for the students.

Admission Procedure
Manipal College of Health Professions (MCHP), Mangalore’s admissions are conducted through online application. To apply for their undergraduate degrees, candidates must apply through the online application portal, fill up the form and submit the requisite documents. After getting selected for admission, the candidate has to attend online counselling and report to the institution. While the admission criteria and eligibility differ from course to course, all students must have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognised board of secondary education. To get admission to various courses students must follow the online admission procedure at the university's portal. Apart from that, after the counselling process is done and when the student gets a chance for admission, they have to report to the campus.
MCHP Mangalore also offers a postgraduate degree in M.Sc, and Master of Physiotherapy. Candidates seeking admission to M.Sc clinical Psychology courses should have qualified Manipal Entrance Test+ Department Test. For a Master of physiotherapy, the candidate must have a bachelor of physiotherapy and qualified Manipal Entrance Test.
