The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE Manipal) was established in 1953 in Manipal, Karnataka. MAHE Manipal provides excellent professional education across diverse disciplines. They include a 3 years degree for a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in Business Process Services as well as a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) (Professional); a 3 years course in Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) in the departments of Banking, Business Analytics, Economic Studies, Family Business Management, Financial Markets, Human Resource Management, Insurance, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Marketing and Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) (Professional); a 4 years Bachelor of Design (B.Des) degree in Fashion Design and Interior Design; a 4 years Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) (Hons) degree in Physics; a 3 years Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Physics; a 3 years Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Foreign Languages and Intercultural Studies and a 5 years Integrated M.Sc. Mathematics and Computing.
The admission procedure is merit-based. The candidates must pass their 10+2 board examinations from a recognized board or Council in India and must also qualify for the Manipal Entrance Test. There are a number of scholarships available such as the scholarship scheme of interest subsidy on education loans for MAHE Manipal students, Merit Scholarship for Konkani speaking students as well as scholarships through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), Govt of India, State Scholarship Portal (SSP), Govt of Karnataka and many more.
MAHE Manipal maintains partnerships with several industries to boost innovation and provide internships and career opportunities to students. The MAHE Manipal campus has a lot of facilities and amenities to help the students with their academic and social life. The Wi-Fi-enabled campus has course-specific libraries as well as a public library with books, journals, and dissertations as well as a digital library with a large database. The male and female students are accommodated on a sharing basis in separate hostels which are furnished with modern facilities. MAHE Manipal puts the importance of the physical health of the students at par with their academic excellence and has infrastructures for sports like football, cricket, tennis, badminton, basketball, and squash. Table tennis as well as a swimming pool, indoor gymnasium and a running track. There are laboratories specially designed for individual courses and are lined with modern technology and equipment. The classrooms provide e-learning facilities apart from regular learning facilities. Admission Procedure
The Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programmes in a variety of fields like - B.Com, BBA, B.Des, B.Sc, B.A, and integrated B.Sc-M.Sc. Admissions for all courses are centralised, and the admissions office is in charge of enrolling students (co-ed) in all constituent institutions/departments. Final admissions to the majority of UG programmes are based on merit and course-based entrance exams or the Manipal Entrance Test (MET), followed by a personal interview and counselling, depending on the nature of the program.
MAHE Manipal offers the M.Opt, M.Sc, and M.Lib degrees at the postgraduate level. Programmes offered include M.Sc., MHA, MOT, M.Pharma, MPT, MSW, M.Des, M.Com, M.Arch, MCA (Master of Computer Applications), and MHM (Master of Hotel Management). Candidates for the M.Tech programme must have a pass in BE or BTech in a relevant branch from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% overall marks, or an equivalent score. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE-qualified candidates will receive preference. The majority of courses provide admission based on the online Manipal Entrance Test (MET), which is followed by GD and PI sessions run by the MAHE Manipal.
