Mallabhum Institute of Technology (MIT), Bishnupur is a private engineering Institute set up in 2002 on a 27-acre Campus at Bishnupur in Bankura, West Bengal. The vision of MIT, Bishnupur is to produce engineers of the highest calibre with an insatiable appetite for innovation in order to establish credibility on a global scale in the fields of science and technology. MIT, Bishnupur is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT).
MIT, Bishnupur offers 5 undergraduate (UG) engineering courses, which are: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. For admission to the aforementioned courses, students need to qualify the 10+2 level examination and secure a valid rank in WBJEE or JEE Main to be considered eligible.
The classes are conducted by highly qualified members of faculty who have experience in both theoretical and applied research.

MIT, Bishnupur provides the best available infrastructure to ensure the holistic growth of the students. The Central Library of MIT Bankura has over 26000 volumes of books in over 3500 titles, 60 national and international journals, and subscriptions to 3 daily newspapers and 5 technical magazines. The Digital Section of the Library allows members to access 3 e-journal packages: IEEE(ASPP), Springer ME and J-Gate, and e-learning programmes through NPTEL, along with other digital resources such as CDs. A Book Bank facility with 850 volumes is also available at the Central Library at MIT, Bishnupur. Students at MIT, Bishnupur are housed in separate hostels, 3 for boys and 1 for girls (with 4 separate wings).
Recognising the importance of an active lifestyle, MIT, Bishnupur has an extensive facility for sports, and regular tournaments like Mallabhum Premier League (MPL), Lakshmi Narayan Memorial Cricket Tournament, and Dhurjoti Memorial Football Tournament are held at the Institute. The classrooms are equipped with modern multimedia facilities to aid the learning process. There are 66 specialised state-of--the-art laboratories, along with a Language Lab and Computer Lab for the students to avail.
The Medical Unit of MIT, Bishnupur is headed by a medical practitioner and has a round-the-clock ambulance service. The Campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled and also has a cafeteria-cum-restaurant, a market complex and an ATM facility for all to avail. MIT, Bishnupur also offers transportation from the Bishnupur Railway Station and Bishnupur Bus Stand to the Campus at scheduled times throughout the day.

Admission Procedure
For admission in the B.Tech courses at Mallabhum Institute of Technology, Bishnupur the students must have passed 10+2 board examinations from a recognized board or council in India with a valid rank in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) or Joint Entrance Examination Mains (JEE Mains). 10 percent of the total admissions are done from JEE Main and 90% of the total admissions are done from WBJEE through CSC counseling. The admission procedure includes an online application through the portal of MIT, Bishnupur following the counseling procedure.
