There are separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Each university residence hall is self-contained and equipped with amenities like a dining hall with a mess, a reading room, a recreation area, and a computer room.
A football ground is present on the campus alongside one cricket ground, tennis court, and basketball court. The on-campus well-equipped gym is adorned with good facilities and updated or modern gym types of equipment. A swimming pool is there inside the college premises. A recreation room is provided for the students.
The laboratory facilities include Civil Engineering Lab, Chemistry Lab, Computer Lab, Design Lab, Electrical and Electronics Lab, Film and Language Lab, Mechanical Lab, Medical Lab, Physics Lab, Biotechnology Lab, Microbiology Lab, Instrumentation Lab, and Power Electronics Lab. A cafeteria is available within the campus, serving hygienic and good-quality foods.
MGU, Kottayam's Health Center's health records management system enables organizations to keep track of all the digitized health data and information about students. Smart classroom facilities are provided. Assembly hall provides facilities for the conduct of conferences, seminars, workshops, etc and alongside there is one seminar hall. The campus houses an ATM for the help of financial transactions.
