Mahatma Gandhi Government Arts College (MGGAC) Mahe, was established in 1970 on a scenic campus at Mount Vera in Chalakkara, Mahe. The vision of MGGAC, Mahe is to prepare young rural students from a small culturally distinct region of India for the challenges of today's world and to empower them to contribute fruitfully to the upcoming economy and the growing needs of an egalitarian society. MGGAC, Mahe is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is affiliated to Pondicherry University.
Students can pursue 11 undergraduate (UG) and 2 postgraduate (PG) courses at MGGAC, Mahe. The UG courses offer the degrees of Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com); while the PG courses offer Master of Arts (M.A) and Master of Science (M.Sc).
