Mahatma Gandhi College, Trivandrum (MGC, Trivandrum) is one of the oldest educational institutions situated in the capital city of the state of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram or Trivandrum, and serving in the field of higher education for decades. MGC, Trivandrum was established in 1948 commemorating the father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and is missioned to serve dynamic, multi-dimensional, value-based education for the wholesome development of the youths of the nation while providing beneficial aid for economically backward people of the society.
Funded by the largest educational agency in Kerala, the Nair Service Society MGC, Trivandrum offers a wide range of 13 undergraduate, 10 postgraduate, and 7 research programmes in the fields of pure science, humanities, and social sciences with a record of 2500 students enrolled in various disciplines. The admission and selection procedure is solely based on the guidelines of Kerala University followed by an offline mode of application.

Admission Procedure
Mahatma Gandhi College, Trivandrum follows the offline method of admission. MGC, Trivandrum offers UG, PG and PhD courses. Applicants are chosen solely based on their merit and meeting the eligibility criteria of Kerala University. Applicants applying for undergraduate courses should have passed (10+2) or any equivalent examination in their respective sector of arts, commerce, and science. Selected applicants are called for an interview for the final selection.
