Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), located in Nagpur, was established in 2016 with a major aim to impart quality education and proper training in the field of legal education. The MNLU Nagpur is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). MNLU Nagpur has dedicated faculty members. Students are provided with in-depth academic and practical knowledge, as well as general growth, through various co-curricular, extra-curricular, and social outreach programs.

Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur offers undergraduate courses such as B.A.LL.B (Hons) and B.A.LL.B. (Honours in Adjudication and Justice) with a duration of 5 years. To get admission to the MNLU Nagpur, students are required to qualify for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) and the selection will be made on academic merit. Students are assisted with merit-based scholarships under the Shri Ram Jethmalani Scholarship Regulations. Students are ensured to participate in internships and training programs with national and international law firms, corporations, the judiciary (Trial Courts, Tribunals, High Courts, and the Supreme Court of India), government departments, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). MNLU Nagpur comprises all the basic amenities required in the academic life of students including reading cubicles, a digital library, hostel accommodation, air-conditioned smart classrooms, modern air-conditioned seminar halls, an open-air amphitheatre, a moot court, medical facilities, an outdoor sports complex and a cafeteria.

Admission Procedure

Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur accepts students for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate programmes. MNLU Nagpur admits students solely based on their academic performance. According to the UG admission process, eligible students need to appear for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), and for B.WITH an LL.B (Honours in Adjudication and Justice), the candidates also have to appear for group discussion followed by a psychometric test and personal interview. MNLU Nagpur also offers LLM and PhD courses. To be admitted to a PhD program, you must have a law master's degree with at least a 55% average. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a requirement for admission to the LLM programme.
