Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur (MPUAT Udaipur), located in Udaipur, Rajasthan, is the second Agricultural University in the state. Initially known as Agricultural University, Udaipur, MPUAT Udaipur was established on November 1st, 1999 after the Rajasthan Agricultural University in Bikaner was divided through Government of Rajasthan Ordinance No. 6 of 1999. In May 2000, the ordinance became an Act. The key objective of MPUAT Udaipur is to provide quality training to human resources in line with the requirements of both public and private sectors, conduct thorough research to address existing and long-term problems, and organize Human Resource Development (HRD) programs to aid in effective technology transfer to officers and supervisory staff involved in various departments such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Soil Conservation and Watershed Management, and Animal Husbandry. MPUAT Udaipur is approved by the AICTE.

MPUAT Udaipur offers only a BTech degree. MPUAT Udaipur follows an online admission procedure and the form can be obtained from the college's website. For BTech admission, candidates must pass HSC(10+2) from any board.

Admission Procedure

Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur offers an online admission procedure to the students. Undergraduate programmes offered by MPUAT Udaipur include a B.Sc (Bachelor of Science) in Agriculture and a B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology), each with a variety of specialisations. To be eligible for these programmes, students must have earned a qualifying grade in their 10+2 exam from any recognised board. In addition to meeting the qualifying requirements listed above, students pursuing the Agriculture department's B.Sc and B.Tech programmes must also pass the state-level Joint Entrance Test (JET).
Along with Ph.D. courses in a variety of specialisations, the students are also offered postgraduate courses such as an MBA in Agri-Business, ME, and M.Sc degrees with numerous specialisations. Students must apply to these courses with a Bachelor's degree from a recognised University.
