Maharaja Srischandra Nandi established Maharaja Srischandra College, Kolkata (MSC Kolkata) in remembrance of his father, Maharaja Manindrachandra Nandi, a well-known philanthropist Zamindar of Cossimbazar. An equally prominent figure in Bengal's sociocultural history at the beginning of the 20th century was Maharaja Srischandra Nandi. He served as the Fazle HaqShyamaprasad ministry's representative for the Bengal zamindars. A decaying old structure that had been a charitable dispensary was transformed into a college. Three different colleges—Maharani Kasiswari, Maharaja Manindrachandra, and Maharaja Srischandra—now share ownership of the structure. In 1964, MSC Kolkata became a stand-alone institution.MSC Kolkata is affiliated with the University of Calcutta and is approved by UGC.

MSC Kolkata offers BA, BA(H), BCom, BCom(H), BSc, and BSc(H) degrees. MSC Kolkata follows the online admission procedure and the form can be obtained from the college's website. MSC Kolkata has a dedicated and trained faculty. The mission of the faculty is to give the student community a need-based education. MSC Kolkata is an educational institution with a wide array of facilities to ensure its students are provided with a safe and conducive learning environment.

MSC Kolkata takes great satisfaction in having a well-stocked and roomy library. The library is useful to students since it has volumes arranged in textbooks, reference books, journals, periodicals, and magazines of both general and specialized interest. The Central Library is located on the second floor of the college's main building and has a 1496 square foot reading room with 80 seating spaces as well as a 612 square foot stock room. The Placement Cell at MSC Kolkata provides a forum for students to demonstrate their talents, which various firms seek to investigate and utilize. MSC Kolkata has successfully placed a portion of graduates who applied for placements since 2018 has started. The companies are initially invited to participate in the hiring drive. Throughout the year, a large number of new and frequent companies visited the campus for placement. Futures First was the first, and then came Titan, Amazon, Zomato, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Big Bazaar, Central Mall, Capitoria Advisory Services, Mineshaft Media Pvt. Ltd., Mansa BPO Services Pvt. Ltd., etc.

Admission Procedure

MSC Kolkata follows the online admission procedure and the form can be obtained from the college's website. Along with the Scanned form and documents, shortlisted candidates must mail these to MSC Kolkata. For UG admission at MSC Kolkata, candidates must pass HSC(10+2) from any board.
