Konark Institute of Science and Technology, Bhubaneswar (KIST) was established in 2001 by Vidya Sagar Charitable Trust. KIST is affiliated with the Biju Pattnaik University of Technology in Rourkela. It has the approval of the government of Orissa and AICTE. The 35-acre campus is lush with greenery. KIST is located in Jatni, Bhubaneswar.
KIST has state-of-the-art labs, classrooms, and a library. It has a ragging-free culture and has good management in place. KIST is known for providing quality techno education and management courses. Currently, the courses offered by the institute are B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, and an integrated MBA.

Admission Procedure
The admission process at Konark Institute of Science and Technology is conducted online. KIST Bhubaneswar offers B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and Integrated MBA courses. The students are required to qualify for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) and for the lateral entries, the students are required to hold a rank in the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE). The students are required to secure pass marks in their Higher Secondary Examinations from a recognized board. The admission is merit-based.
The candidate must have completed a bachelor's degree in the relevant stream to be eligible for M.Tech and MBA programmes. A valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score and the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will be required for admission.
Faculty
Faculty members of the Konark Institute of Science and Technology are experienced, both teaching and non-teaching. Visiting lecturers are routinely invited to the campus. Scholarly and teaching members' research is also made available to the general public.
Placements
The Placement Cell of the Konark Institute of Science and Technology helps the students with internship opportunities and placement in various companies. The placement cell provides the students with internships during their program. The focus of the cell is to improve the skills of their students and they also give them feedback. The various companies which participate in the placement drive are Wipro, Infosys, Vodafone, Veda, Reliance, Quick Heal, Tech Mahindra and many more.
