The King George’s Medical University, Lucknow (KGMU) is a premier institute for medical students around the country. At the undergraduate level, King George’s Medical University Lucknow offers a number of courses from the Medicine and Surgery, Dental, Radiotherapy, Nursing and Paramedical departments. These are MBBS, BDS, B.Sc. in Nursing, B.Sc. in Radiotherapy and Diploma courses for Dental Hygienist, Dental Mechanics, Medical Laboratory Technician, Radiotherapy Technician, Optometry, Physiotherapy, Cardiology Technician, Dialysis Technician, C.T. Scan Technician, MRI Technician, X-Ray Technician, O.T. Technician, Emergency and Trauma Care Technician, Sanitation and Blood Transfusion, Technician. KGMU Lucknow conducts online college admissions through the KGMU Lucknow exam portal. Eligibility varies from course to course. Admission to the diploma courses is on a merit basis and B.Sc. in Nursing admissions are conducted based on the KGMU Lucknow Entrance Exam. For admission to MBBS and BDS courses, students must have cleared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and scored the requisite marks.
Students graduating from King George’s Medical University Lucknow are very well-prepared to take on their chosen roles in the medical field through short-term internships and hands-on experience. Being attached to a hospital also ensures that students have ample exposure to real medical situations and how to deal with them. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) also offers a Short-Term Studentship (STS) program for undergraduate medical and dental students with the primary purpose of acquainting them with research methodology, scientific writing, and research ethics, preparing them for a future in advanced research. KGMU Lucknow offers much in the way of educational and research support to their students. There are a vast print and digital library on campus. They also have smart classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, seminar halls and an auditorium on the Wi-Fi-enabled campus. Students interested in sports also have access to a number of different sports facilities. There are also a number of cafeterias and food joints, as well as an ATM on the campus. For accommodation, students can sign up for a seat at the girl's and boys’ hostels which are also available.

Admission Procedure
Candidates can apply to King George's Medical University for diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate programmes. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) results are accepted by the university for admission to M.B.B.S. and B.D.S. courses. Admission to the B.Sc.(Nursing) program is based on the candidates' performance on the KGMU Entrance Exam, which is followed by counselling. Candidates who aspire to pursue a diploma in different specializations are admitted on a merit basis. Candidates that match the desired program's qualifying requirements can apply for admission to KGMU Lucknow. King George's Medical University also provides a Post-Graduate MD/ MS/ MD-PhD / Master of Hospital Administration / DM / M.ch degree with various specializations. MD/ MS candidates must qualify UP State Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (UP PGMEE) or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate). DM / Mch degree candidates must qualify National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Super Speciality Courses) with valid marks.
