Admission Procedure

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Kochi offers four years of Undergraduate degree ( B.Tech, B.Fsc) and two years of postgraduate ( M.sc, M.Fsc, MBA ) degrees with various specializations. Interested candidates can apply through their official website. To apply for their UG and PG degrees candidates must qualify for basic admission criteria. For their Bachelor of Fisheries Science degree, candidates must complete Higher secondary (10+2) in a science discipline (PCM/PCB) with 50% marks. And the candidate must qualify for an entrance examination NEET( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). And for their M.SC degree in the Fisheries department, candidates must qualify ICAR-All India Entrance Examination for Admission with valid marks. For their  MBA degree candidate must qualify a national-level entrance examination CMAT / KMAT / CAT.

KUFOS Kochi also offers Diploma, PGDM, and PhD degrees with various specializations, To apply for their PhD degree candidate must qualify for an entrance examination ICAR-All India Common Entrance Examination (ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF) with valid marks. Candidates for the PGDM and Diploma degree must pass an entrance exam held by the university.

Faculty

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Kochi has a dedicated placements cell. The major goal is to equip every student with the necessary skills to gain hands-on experience that is beneficial for their future. In the fields of food technology, oceanography, management, marine law, fish processing, aquaculture, hatcheries, and ornamental fish, KUFOS Kochi has produced a significant number of businesspeople, professionals, and scientists. 
Students in their last year also receive an internship to gain practical experience. The placement department hosts a number of training sessions, webinars, and interview preparation sessions. Industrial training programmes are also run by the placements department in multinational corporations. Every year placements departments conduct in-campus placements programs and various multinational companies visit their campus to provide job opportunities.



Scholarships

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Kochi also provide scholarships with its financial help so students can give their fees. This scholarship is to meritorious and economically backward students who have secured good scores in their previous exams. This grant is only available to students who have an excellent academic record.
