Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering and Technology, Chennai (KVCET Chennai) was founded in 2001 and has received the approval of AICTE, New Delhi, as well as affiliation with Anna University in Chennai. KVCET Chennai's goal is to provide cutting-edge higher education, with a strong emphasis on high-value systems, while preparing individuals for the task of nation-building. KVCET Chennai has a stunning centralized air-conditioned auditorium with ample seating capacity to accommodate around 1450 persons. KVCET Chennai also has two multipurpose halls that can be used for various events. Students can engage in a range of outdoor and indoor games such as basketball, ball badminton, kabaddi, handball, kho-kho, athletics, cricket, hockey, tennis, volleyball, football, chess, carrom board, and table tennis. The campus has a gym and yoga facilities for students to stay healthy and fit. KVCET Chennai provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, with mess halls available for meals. KIMs Hospital is also available within the campus for medical emergencies, making it easier for students to seek medical attention when necessary. KVCET Chennai has a cafeteria that serves delicious food to students. To make commuting more convenient, KVCET Chennai has a fleet of buses that transport students to and from the campus. ATMs are available for students to withdraw money for any immediate need.

The primary goals of the placement cell of KVCET Chennai include the enhancement of students’ soft and technical skills, as well as the encouragement of ambitious career aspirations. Additionally, the cell strives to attract more corporate recruiters to the campus in order to achieve full placement and increased median salaries for graduates. Another important objective is to adequately prepare students for both on-campus and off-campus placement drives. Finally, the cell endeavors to increase student awareness of diverse career opportunities and the skillsets expected by potential employers. Admission Procedure

Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering and Technology, Chennai offers BE, BTech, ME, MCA, and MBA degrees. KVCET Chennai follows an online admission procedure and the form can be obtained from the college's website.

For UG admission, candidates must pass HSC(10+2) from any board. For PG admission, candidates must complete a bachelor's degree. The final admission for ME will be done on the basis of score obtained in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) / Common Entrance Test  / Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). And for MBA, Management Aptitude Test (MAT)/ TANCET / CET score will be used.
