Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE, Krishnankoil) is deemed to be a University established in 1984 as Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Engineering Kalvivallal Thiru T.KalasalingaM. Later, KARE, Krishnankoil was raised as the governing body with multiple arms serving various sectors of education in Engineering, Science, Agriculture, Technology, Business, and Humanities.
KARE, Krishnankoil is the first Institution in India to introduce a special B.Tech program for specially-abled (speech and hearing disability ) students. Currently, the arms of KARE are Kalasalingam School of Agriculture and Horticulture (KSAH), Kalasalingam School of Architecture (KSOA), School of Mechanical, Aero, Auto and Civil Engineering (SMACE)School of Bio, Chemical and Processing Engineering (SBCE), School of Computing (SoC), School of Electronics, Electrical and Biomedical Technology (SEET), Kalasalingam Business School (KBS), School of Liberal Arts and Education (SLATE).
KARE, Krishnankoil offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. courses. Under UG programmess KARE, Krishnankoil offers B.Tech, B.Arch, BSc, B.Com, B.A, B.Com, and BCA courses. Under PG, KARE, Krishnankoil offers M.Tech, MBA, M.Sc, M.Arch, and M.A courses. KARE, Krishnankoil also offers MPhil and Ph.D. programmes in various streams in the sector of the Research Department of KARE University. KARE, Krishnankoil follows an online process of admission where the applicants are selected on the basis of merit by qualifying for an entrance exam conducted by KARE. Admission Procedure
Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, Krishnankoil follows an online process of admission. KARE, Krishnankoil offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses. Under UG programs KARE, Krishnankoil offers B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Sc, B.Com, B.A, and BCA courses. B.Tech applicants applying to KARE, Krishnankoil must go through JEE/ KUEE (Joint Entrance Examination/Kalasalingam University Entrance Examination). B.Tech applicants must have passed (10+2) or any equivalent examination with concerned subjects.
B.Sc Applicants applying to KARE, Krishnankoil must go through CEE (Common Entrance Examination), and B.Sc applicants must have passed (10+2) or any equivalent examination from the science stream with relevant subjects. B.Com, B.A, B.Arch and BBA students need to sit for the KCEE (Kalasalingam Common Entrance Examination) and must have passed (10+2) or any equivalent examination with concerned subjects respectively. The Entrance Exam of KARE, Krishnankoil is normally conducted by the Institute itself for admission into all of the above-mentioned programmes.

The Office of Corporate Relations (OCR) of Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, Krishnankoil, regularly offers training in career advising, and technical skills. The interaction between industries and institutes plays a vital role in developing work prospects for Undergraduates and Postgraduates graduating from KARE University. The main objective of OCR is to provide students with practical knowledge and guidance in order to prepare them for a successful future and career worldwide and help in 100% placement for students. All students receive career counselling programmes from the OCR, from the beginning of their first year of study. Group discussions, mock interviews, workshops on communication skills, and other events are organised by the OCR. The OCR also invites HR Managers from a variety of businesses to lead training sessions for students in their final year. Different functions of OCR include Conducting Guest Lectures, internships for the students, and conducting corporate grooming sessions from Industry experts. OCR also helps in finding internships for final-year students. Scholarships
Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, Krishnankoil offers scholarships to students based on their merit and eligibility criteria. Students who have secured a rank of 1- 50,000 in the Joint Entrance Examination will get a 100% scholarship in B.Tech(with or without CSE). Students who have secured a rank of 50001- 100000 in the Joint Entrance Examination will get a 70% scholarship in B.Tech CSE and 75% scholarship in B.Tech except for CSE. Students who have secured a rank of 100001- 200000 in the Joint Entrance Examination will get a 40% scholarship in B.Tech CSE and 50 % Scholarship in BTech except for CSE. B.Tech Students (based on PCM/PCB) who secured 85-89% will get a 20% off on tuition fees (for 4 years). B.Tech Students (based on PCM/PCB) who secured 90-95% will get a 30% off on tuition fees (for 4 years). B.Tech Students (based on PCM/PCB) who secured above 95% will get 40% off on tuition fees (for 4 years). Based on EAMCET ranks, B.Tech students who secured ranks of 1-50000 will get 40% off (with CSE) and 50% off (without CSE). B.Tech students who secured ranks of 50001-100000 will receive a scholarship of 30% (with CSE) and 25%(without CSE). Students of all B.Tech programmes will receive a Principal Recommendation Scholarship of 50% (for 4 years).
