Admission Procedure
Applicants of B.Tech at K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai need to have a Non-Zero score for Scholastic Assessment Test or JEE Main Paper 1 or CUET or MHT-CET. The admission process is based on certain phases. It is based on Scholastic Assessment Test, PERA-CET, JEE-MAIN (Session 1 & 2), Common University Entrance Test, and MHT-CET respectively. A candidate can apply for any one or more than one phase (including all the phases) within the same application form by selecting appropriate options of entrance examinations using a tick mark. The candidate is required to fill in relevant information for the entrance examination as applicable for the selected phase and upload the required documents. Before selecting an option, eligibility for the respective phase needs to be ensured. An e-mail will be sent to the candidate offering the seat.

K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai offers 3 kinds of scholarships. "People United for People’s Health" (PUSH) and "Industry Sponsored Scholarships" to the UG students and Merit Scholarships for the M.Tech students. PUSH scholarship is offered to students from the Department of Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, and Electronics and Computer Engineering. Industry Sponsored Scholarships are offered to UG students from organizations like Blue Star, JSW Foundation, Sulzer, and Ramlal Khelawat. KJSCE, Mumbai comprises of Somaiya Scholarship in the form of Merit-Cum Need Based Scholarship and Need based Scholarship. The Merit-Cum Need Based Scholarship has Dr. Meenakshi Rajana Memorial Scholarship for the students of the humanity course, Smt. Bharti Nanji Gala Memorial Scholarship and Smt. Nirmala Raychand Savla Memorial Scholarship for the girl student of Somaiya Vidyavihar/Ayurvihar. In the sector of the Need Based Scholarship there is Smt. Sakaribai K Somnaiya Memorial Scholarship and Smt. Mayadevi S Somaiya Memorial Scholarship for the candidates who are in dire financial need by providing evidence of their financial accounts.
