Justice Basher Ahmed Sayeed College for Women, Chennai (JBASCW Chennai), was established in 1954 under the aegis of the Southern India Education Trust and initially called S.I.E.T Women's College. An autonomous institution recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), JBASCW Chennai is affiliated to the University of Madras.

Students can pursue 31 undergraduate (UG), 19 postgraduate (PG) and 4 doctorate (PhD) courses at JBASCW Chennai.
