JSS Dental College and Hospital, Mysuru (JSSDCH Mysuru) is a college undertaken by JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru. Founded in 1986-87 JSSDCH Mysuru is missioned to impart quality education and knowledge regarding dental sciences and to bring forth eminent professionals and experts in the field of dental sciences providing exemplary dental care and achieving the status of a leading dental science institution at the national and global level.
Affiliated to the deemed-to-be-university JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru; JSSDCH Mysuru conducts BDS and MDS courses in nine divisions and Post Graduate Diplomas in five special courses. JSSDCH Mysuru follows the procedure of offline admission. As per the basic eligibility criteria, the candidates are compulsory to pass the NEET UG exam. The entire selection procedure follows the mode offline based on the demands of the JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru.
The faculties follow strict curriculums and assessments for the students’ wholesome development. The placement cell is quite active and they organize multiple recruitment drives, and training programs to make the students grab good placements. JSSDCH Mysuru offers scholarships namely Karnataka Labour Welfare Board Scholarship and also a merit-based scholarship named SSP Post Matric Scholarship.

Admission Procedure
JSS Dental College and Hospital, Mysuru follows the procedure of offline admission through medical counciling committee of Directorate Genral of Health Service (www.mcc.nic.in). Candidates seeking admission at JSSDCH Mysuru need to pass the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG) exam as their basic eligibility criteria. Candidates must have successfully completed (10+2) equivalent exams with Biology as one of their main subjects. Based on the inter-se merit in NEET UG, the seats would be allocated through institution offline mop-up counseling. JSSDCH Mysuru follows a procedure of counseling before the final selection of the candidates. The physical presence of selected candidates during the time of counseling is mandatory. JSSDCH Mysuru also offers Diploma course. Applicants applying for Diploma course must have passed Higher Secondary Examination with Biology as one of their major subjects. All india quota as well as NRI quota is made through medical council committee of DGHS.

The Head of the Departments and professors engage themselves with the students in the practical and theoretical analysis of the study, in order to help the students in learning, gathering knowledge, and developing in the study of Dental Surgery.
Placements
The Training and Placement Team of JSS Dental College and Hospital, Mysuru provides placement services to students through campus interviews. The Training and Placement Office must receive the T&PC registration form willingness from the student before they may make an application to a specific business or organization. The office of the Training and Placement Cell will inform the registered students of the opportunities to secure one job at the first instance, and it follows the one student, one job policy until at least 70/80% (depending on the discipline) of the students in a particular branch/discipline get a job. Once a student is chosen for an on-campus interview, the student also needs to go for an off-campus interview. Students selected through campus interview needs to go through a medical test before the final placement. After interviewing the students who made the final cut, the organization will make the announcement the findings as soon as it is practicable. Students are not personally informed of the final choice. By the end of the procedure, the results are presented to the Training and Placement Team of JSSDCH Mysuru. Some of the recruiters who visit JSSDCH Mysuru are Apollo Pharmacy, Pfizer, Fortis Hospitals, Biocon, Novartis, AstraZeneca, Ranbaxy, and many more.
