JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru (JSS ASHER) is a part of JSS Mahavidyapeetha that was established in 2008 in the name of Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University or JSS University. JSS ASHER is a deemed-to-be University as recognized by the Ministry of Education. JSS AHER is objected to reaching the peak of excellence while juxtaposing ethical and professional standards through innovative academic and research activities and accomplishing societal benefits.
JSS AHER is constituted of 6 faculty as follows - The faculty of Medicine, the faculty of Dentistry, the faculty of Pharmacy, the faculty of Biomedical Sciences, the faculty of Life Sciences, and the faculty of Health System Management Studies. There is also a faculty of Yoga alongside. JSS ASHER follows an online procedure for its admission and selection process.
JSS ASHER provides multiple scholarships including the SSP Post Matric Scholarship, National Scholarship Portal, and Karnataka Labour Welfare Board Scholarship.
The placement cell is much active with multiple facilities including various academic-industry exchange programs, meetings, and training sessions by the college deputy director. Admission Procedure
There is an online application process for the JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru. Candidates for JSS AHER must have successfully completed 10+2 or any equivalent exam comparable thereto from a recognised board, with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology being the required courses. The cost of the application form is INR 2000 (online). It cannot be transferred or refunded. Candidates must complete the application form for Allied Health Science (B.Sc), BDS, MBBS and B.Pharm by selecting the proper alternatives for admission exams.
Candidates must upload the necessary documents and complete the necessary information for the entrance examination as applicable for the chosen phase. Prior to choosing a course of action, eligibility for the applicable phase must be confirmed. Candidates for the BBA programme at JSS AHER must have passed the 10+2 exam or any exam comparable from a board that is recognised and pay an application fee of INR 1000.
Faculty
JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru takes pride in a team of skilled professionals, teachers, and experts with vast experience in medical, yoga, dental, and health system management studies. The Head of the Departments and Lecturers engage themselves with the students in the practical and theoretical analysis of the study, in order to help the students in learning, developing, and gathering knowledge in the study of these subjects.
Placements
The Training and Placement Cell of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru have facilitated the sighting of fresh and promising human resources for the life sciences industry. There are several collaborations with the industry not just to hire students but for industry-academia exchange programs also. The office of the Training and Placement is headed by Deputy Director. The office coordinates the meetings with constituent colleges thrice annually in order to understand the requirements of the students for employment and the projects. The Training and Placement office reports to the Vice Chancellor – JSS AHER. Each coordinator from the constituent college is responsible for collating data of the students who are interested to pursue a career in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Hospital Administration. JSS AHER has a network of 170+ recruiters such as Biocon, GlaxoSmithKline, Dr. Reddy's, Himalaya, Novartis, Ranbaxy, Sun Pharma, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Cipla, Fortis Hospital, Pfizer, Jubilant Foodworks, Aurobindo and many more.
Scholarships
JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru provides the "Karnataka Labour Welfare Board Scholarship", "SSP Post Matric Scholarship" (Direct Benefit Transfer into Aadhaar seeded account of the student), and other various scholarships from the National Scholarship Portal to the students.
