Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi (JNU New Delhi) is an autonomous university funded by the Government of India and established in 1969.

Admission Procedure
Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi follows an online method of admission. JNU New Delhi offers Undergraduate, Post Graduate, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) courses under the faculty of Arts, Science, and Engineering departments. Applicants applying for UG courses at JNU New Delhi must appear for Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET). Selected applicants are called for viva examination and the selection of applicants occurs following the rank of the applicants. Aspiring UG applicants to JNU New Delhi must have passed Higher Secondary Examination from any recognized Board with 55% marks in the concerned subjects.

Scholarships
Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi offers scholarships based on the merit and eligibility criteria of the students. JNU New Delhi offers Merit cum Means Scholarships to worthy and distinguished students whose parent or guardian's income does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/- per year or as may be otherwise determined from time to time, a number of Merit-cum-Means scholarships are available. The rules that are now in effect at the University will apply to the payment of scholarships. Students in the International Studies in M.A. program may apply for a Ford Foundation Scholarship. Subject to the rules, the Scholarships will be given out only on the basis of merit, with half going to female candidates. JNU New Delhi also offers with "Tendulkar Scholarship", "Jawahar Bhawan Trust Scholarship", "DS Gardi Sanskrit Scholarship", "Gouri Shankar Singhal Merit Scholarship", and "Nurul Hasan Scholarship".
