Jamal Mohamed College, Tiruchirapalli (JMC Tiruchirapalli), was established in 1951 as a religious minority institution with the primary goal of providing higher education to the oppressed and socially disadvantaged sections of society in general, and the Muslim minority in particular. Recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli, JMC Tiruchirapalli offers 22 undergraduate (UG), 37 postgraduate (PG), 18 doctorate (PhD), 11 diploma (DIP), 1 advanced diploma (Adv. DIP) and 6 postgraduate diploma (PG DIP) courses for students to pursue.
The UG courses provide the degrees of Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Literature (B.Litt), and Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc); while the PG courses are for Master of Arts (M.A), Master of Commerce (M.Com), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Social Work (MSW), Master of Science (M.Sc), and the research degree of Master of Philosophy (M.Phil). Admission Procedure
Jamal Mohamed College, Tiruchirapalli (JMC Tiruchirapalli), offers various UG nd PG programs. Only online mode is used to conduct the entire admission procedure.
For UG admission at JMC Tiruchirapalli, candidates must pass HSC examination in relevant stream. Those who passed the HSC examination from boards other than the Tamil Nadu Board of Higher Secondary Examination or the CBSE, must provide a Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli eligibility certificate as proof of their students' eligibility. For admission to a postgraduate programme (PG), candidates must have completed the UG programme from an accredited university or institution and must provide a Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli eligibility certificate as proof of their students' eligibility. The results of the Common Entrance Test (TANCET) are used for admission for MCA and MBA programmes. A group Interview is must for MBA final admission at JMC Tiruchirapalli.
