Ed in Special Education (Locomotor impairment and neuro-muscular disorder). Candidates who want to get UG admissions in the FET must appear for WBJEE and later the procedure is followed by counselling. The Undergraduate Arts admission is based on entrance exam scores and academic merit. The UG Faculty of Science admission is also merit-based. Jadavpur University Kolkata provides financial aid for needy students and also offers scholarships for physically challenged students and B.ED Physical Education students. Apart from these, special D.P.I scholarships are also available.
Jadavpur University Kolkata holds its own placement cell which assists students in getting prepared for their interviews. Physical as well as digital libraries are present on the Jadavpur University Kolkata campus. The Central Library which is a three-storied building with 36000 sq ft (approx) of total space has seven reading rooms, carrels, and an alcove. The digital library has a reading room and a Learning Resource Center (LRC). The university has fully equipped labs and besides, and they also have course and department-specific labs like Physics Lab, CAD Lab, SAP Lab, AI Lab, Xeon Lab and many more. An auditorium, an open-air theatre, shuttle services for students, fully equipped air conditioning classrooms, on-campus high-speed internet connectivity, an on-campus health centre attended by a full-time medical superintendent and part-time qualified specialists and a qualified part-time lady doctor, an ambulance service, a well-equipped gym, a total number of 13 hostels (4 for girls and 9 for boys) having accommodation of over 1600 students, indoor and outdoor sports complex, a hygienically maintained cafeteria are amongst other major facilities that JU Kolkata provides.
