IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences (IQCINS), Durgapur was established in 2015 by the IQ City Foundation to train professional nurses who would deliver world class nursing care to the ailing in 2015. IQCINS Durgapur is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and the West Bengal Nursing Council.
IQCINS Durgapur offers two extensive undergraduate courses in nursing – BSc. in Nursing and a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course. There are five different departments of study, namely, Department of Nursing Foundation, Medical and Surgical Nursing, Child Health & Pediatrics Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing, and Community Health Nursing. For admission to IQCINS Durgapur, all applicants must qualify the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (WBJEE), thereafter, admission is determined on the basis of performance on the exam and applicant’s academic history and merit. The institute has in place an admissions committee to aid the entire selection process.
IQCINS Durgapur has a Placement Committee which is tasked with the responsibility of organizing and providing various training programmes and activities aimed at furthering students’ professional development and ultimately result in their successful placement with top medical centers and hospitals.
IQCINS Durgapur’s faculty constitutes highly skilled and pragmatic academics as well as medical professionals – providing students with excellent theoretical knowledge and hands-on expertise in practice of nursing.
The campus is sprawled across 100 acres amidst lots of greenery with an abundance of amenities for the student’s holistic development and growth. The central library is spacious and expansive with a seating capacity of 80, and provides all the requisite learning resources on the practice of nursing. Several course-specific laboratories are present on campus, for instance, Nursing Foundation Lab, Nutrition Lab, Community Health Nursing Lab, Advanced Skills Lab, Pre-clinical Science Lab, MCH Lab, Computer Lab, and Pediatric Lab. Additionally, the Audio-Visual Aid Lab is equipped with an LCD projector, OHP, DVD player, models, charts, and more. The campus also maintains a 814 bedded Medical College hospital which provides an extraordinary clinical experience. The campus facilitates outdoor and indoor gaming activities such as cricket, volleyball, table tennis, carom, and more. There is a hygienically maintained cafeteria which provides meals at affordable prices, a well equipped gym, a 300-seater well-ventilated auditorium, nine spacious and AV-equipped lecture halls and a large multipurpose hall. IQCINS Durgapur also offers the Hostel campus with state-of-the-art facilities and amenities.

Admission Procedure
IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences, Durgapur offers undergraduate admissions in B. Sc in Nursing, diploma in GNM (General Nursing Midwifery) and M.Sc in Nursing. The students are required to have qualifying marks in their 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board for admission to the B.Sc. course along with verifying marks in JENPAS (Joint Entrance Test for Nursing, Paramedical and Allied Sciences Under Graduate Course) conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.
For diploma in GNM, students must have qualifying marks in their 10+2 examination from a recognized board. The selection of the candidates will be based on marks obtained in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) scores and counseling.
A qualifying bachelor's degree from a recognized university is requied for admission of the applying students to the M.Sc. course.
The students are required to follow the guidelines provided by the admission committee of the institute from the offiical website.
