Institute of Management Study (IMS) Kolkata, was established in July 2006 and is one of the new age co-ed institute, set up to provide Undergraduates programmes in Management, Computer Application and others under the affiliation of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT).
IMS Kolkata is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offers the following undergraduate courses that include a BBA in Accounting, Taxation and Auditing, Hotel Management; B.Sc in Economics, Psychology, Hotel & Hospitality, Computer Science, Statistics, Media, VFX Film Making, Animation & Film Making, Physiotherapy & Health Care, Medical Lab Technology, Medical Instrument, Environmental Science and Business Process Automation; and Bachelors of Computer Application. To get admission to the IMS Kolkata candidates have to apply online and appear for the entrance examination conducted by MAKAUT. The selection of the candidates will be based on the marks scored in the entrance examination.

Admission Procedure
The Institute of Management Study, Kolkata conducts an admission procedure for the students (co-ed) by filling out the appropriate application form for different courses like BBA, B.Sc, BCA and B.Optm in multiple specializations, followed by a fee after which the students will be enrolled on the basis of the marks scored in the entrance exam of the affiliated university. IMS, Kolkata provides some Postgraduate degrees (M.Sc, MBA, MPH, MTTM, M.Optm). Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant stream with the required marks and the admission will be through Common Entrance Test (CET) exam.
