Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi (ILBS New Delhi), was established in 2009 by the Government of Delhi with the aim of being a world-class institute for education and research in liver, biliary and allied health sciences. Recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), ILBS New Delhi is an autonomous institution which has been granted the status of Deemed to be University.

Students can pursue 1 postgraduate (PG) course for the degree of Diplomate of National Board, and 5 doctorate courses for the degrees of Doctorate of Medicine (DM) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at ILBS New Delhi. Admission to ILBS New Delhi is based on merit. The faculty of ILBS New Delhi strives to create and disseminate knowledge maintaining the highest standards while pursuing excellence, innovations and inclusiveness.

ILBS New Delhi, provides the necessary infrastructural support for the holistic development of students. The Library at ILBS New Delhi has an extensive collection of books, journals and periodicals, as well as a digital section providing members access to a host of e-resources. Students are provided hostel accommodations separately for boys and girls at ILBS New Delhi, with necessary amenities. Regular classes at ILBS New Delhi take place in spacious smart classrooms, while practical sessions are conducted in course-specific specialised laboratories. The fully Wi-Fi-enabled campus of ILBS New Delhi also has a cafeteria and a medical centre for the students and staff to avail.

Admission Procedure

The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi conducts the admission process under the guidelines of the National Medical Commission.
