IHM Chennai is affiliated with the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). To get admission to this co-ed institute, candidates must have appeared for the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (NCHMCT-JEE) based on which the provisional selection will be made. After the provisional selection, candidates will be called for personal interviews.

Admission Procedure

All the candidtes for diploma programmes at IHM Chennai are admitted based on the results of the qualifying examination and a personal interview performed at the institute level. Admission to the B.Sc course depends on the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (NCHMCT-JEE) scores, followed by personal interviews.
IHM Chennai also offers post-graduation ( M.Sc and PGDM) courses with various specializations. Interested candidates can apply through their official website. To apply for their M.Sc degree candidate must qualify for an entrance examination M.sc JEE / National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology-Joint Entrance Exam (NCHMCT-JEE) with valid marks. Final admission is based on a personal interview.
