Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow (IET Lucknow) popularly known as the "Engineering College" in Lucknow, is one of the most reputable and well-ranked technical institutes associated with Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. Established by the government of Uttar Pradesh as a society-run institute in 1984, IET Lucknow is funded by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and is managed by the Executive Council of Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. This autonomous institute is accredited by All India Council of Technical Education and was formerly affiliated with the University of Lucknow. IET Lucknow is a fully residential college.
IET Lucknow offers BTech, MCA, Mtech, and MBA degrees. Admissions to MCA and MBA programs at IET Lucknow are made based on the candidate's performance in the UPCET (Uttar Pradesh Common Entrance Exam). Entrance to B. Tech is done through centralized counseling based on JEE (Mains). Entrance to the Master of Technology program is done through GATE and a centralized admission examination administered by AKTU.

This team is comprised of the Placement-in-Charge, Assistant Placement Officer, Placement Office staff and student representatives who undertake important duties such as liaising with companies, organizing and accomplishing placement-related duties and conducting all official communication with recruiters and students. This team is dedicated to striking a balance between recruiter demands and student aspirations. The student representatives are composed of Placement Managers who oversee the activities of the student body and make sure that the institute policies are observed; Company Coordinators who facilitate contact with the recruiters; and Department Placement Coordinators who manage student readiness and capability improvement programs. Additionally, the Placement Office is equipped with all the essential resources to aid each stage of the placement process.
