Established in 1956, Indira Gandhi Institute of Cooperative Management, Lucknow (IGICM Lucknow) is one of the leading management institutes in the state and is an autonomous society under the aegis of the National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT) New Delhi, wholly sponsored by the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India. IGICM Lucknow has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow (formerly known as UPTU).

IGICM Lucknow offers an MBA course. Candidates for MBA and diploma admission at IGICM Lucknow must have graduated from any university. Admission at IGICM Lucknow will be according to the university's norms. All the candidates must bring every necessary document along with the registration form at the time of counseling.

Every program offered by IGICM Lucknow is a residential one. IGICM Lucknow has a sufficient number of classrooms and locations for HDCM, MBA, and other short-term training programs, all of which are furnished with air conditioning and modern teaching and training aids. The library includes a fantastic collection of over 12,000 books on a variety of topics including management, computers, economics, commerce, cooperation, law, finance, banking, projects, a series of encyclopedias, significant references, etc. Additionally, it subscribes to 84 journals and magazines. Furthermore, IGICM Lucknow is equipped with a seminar and conference hall that can accommodate up to 125 people, as well as modern communication systems. Additionally, 32-MBPS internet connectivity and a wireless-enabled environment have been established for the convenience of faculty and students, allowing them to access the internet from any section of the campus.
