Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, Delhi (IGDTUW Delhi) is one of the finest technical and professional education institutions in the north Indian belt, which was established in 2013 to confer education to women, in the varied branches of science and technology. It is the first women-only engineering college in the capital city, Delhi. It is committed to garnering new research methodologies, innovation, and development of society and human living. The departmental academic system is a decentralised structure. IGDTUW Delhi beholds six academic departments, in undergraduate programs it offers Bachelor of Technolgy [B. Tech] degrees in Computer Science [Artificial Intelligence], Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical and Automation, Information Technology [IT], etc; Bachelor of Architecture [B. Arch] and Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA]. There is also an option for integrated B. Tech- MBA program. In the postgraduate level of programs Master of Technology [M. Tech] degree are awarded, specialisations in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, IT [Cyber Security], Artificial Intelligence and Data Science], etc; Master of Computer Application [MCA]; Master of Planning [M. Plan.] in Urban Planning and MBA. Doctoral programs are offered with Ph. D. in several branches of engineering including English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. IGDTUW Delhi is a fully residential campus supported by a complete supply of wifi connectivity. Its IT service is rigorously well-sufficient for the smooth conduct of classes, computer labs, and even the hostel rooms. There is a university dispensary and ATM services. The Library is a Learning Resource Centre [LRC] with ample printed, electronic and audiovisual materials. The faculty at IGDTUW Delhi foster an environment for excellence and expansion in professional-technical education to ensure the active participation of women in the field of Engineering, Science, Management, and Technology while striking out a work-life balance. They emancipate women through the pursuit of knowledge enabling them to gain equal status in society through the realisation of their equal rights and responsibilities can be cherished by women in any professional domain. The faculty and student exchange program enhances the relevance and impact of the pedagogic structure of the institute. There is a range of scholarships offered to eligible students studying at different levels of courses, which are awarded by the University’s end. The campus placement situation is dealt with by the Training and Placement cell of the institution, which trains students with soft skills and invites recruiters like Qualcomm, Mahindra & Mahindra, images, Cognizant, Aricent, Tata Consultancy Services, Yamaha Motors, Hindustan Unilever, IBM India, etc.

Admission Procedure

The Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, Delhi conducts the admission process under the guidelines of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The students interested in applying at IGDTUW, Delhi can apply through the official website of the institute. The selection of applicants for the undergraduate degree courses is made according to the merits secured by the students in their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board along with merits secured through the Joint Entrance Examination (Mains). The selection of the applicants for the postgraduate degree courses is made according to the merits secured by the candidates in their bachelor's degree course in the relevant subject discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. For the doctoral degree courses, the selection of the applicants is made according to the merits secured by the students in their postgraduate degree course in the relevant subject with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from a recognised university
