Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, Gwalior (IITTM Gwalior) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, established in 1992 at Govindpuri in Madhya Pradesh. IITTM Gwalior offers education, training, research and consultancy in sustainable travel and tourism management, and other related sectors. A pioneer in propagating and professionalising tourism education, IITTM Gwalior is headed by a Board of Governors, with the Union Minister of Tourism as the Chairperson. The Institute has also been entrusted by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India to conduct regional-level guide training programmes.

Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, Gwalior offers 2 full-time courses: a 3-year BBA course and a 2-year MBA course in Tourism and Travel Management. Candidates must qualify 10+2 level examination from a recognised board with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category students) as well as pass the IGNTU IITTM Admission Test (IIAT) conducted by IGNTU and IITTM in order to be eligible for admission in the BBA course. For admission to the MBA course, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognised Indian or foreign university with an aggregate score of 50% (45% in the case of SC/ST category students) along with a valid score card in any one of the following Management Entrance Tests: MAT/CAT/CMAT/XAT/GMAT/ATMA/IIAT.

IITTM Gwalior is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The faculty at IITTM Gwalior aims to nurture professional and managerial excellence, social and cultural sensitivity, and moral and ethical responsibility with concern for the environment, using the latest technology available. Students are recruited to leading travel and tourism companies like MakeMyTrip, Thomas Cook, The Ritz-Carlton, Holiday Inn, Marriot, and many more. IITTM Gwalior provides state-of-the-art infrastructure for students to avail. The Institute Library has an extensive collection of books, and magazines, as well as digital and e-resources. The classrooms at IITTM Gwalior are air-conditioned and equipped with projectors. Hostel facilities are present within the campus, along with provisions for sports and recreation. IITTM Gwalior has specialised cutting-edge laboratories, auditoriums and seminar halls, a well-stocked cafeteria as well as emergency medical facilities catering to the students and staff. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled, allowing scholars easy access to online resources.

Admission Procedure

Application for admission to the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, Gwalior takes place online via the official website. Candidates must qualify 10+2 level examination from a recognised board with atleast 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category students) as well as pass the IGNTU IITTM Admission Test (IIAT) conducted by IGNTU and IITTM in order to be eligible for admission in the BBA course.
