Established in 2015 Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Tirupati is a nationally and internationally known institution for research and academic programmes. The autonomous institution is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It holds a well-qualified and distinguished faculty. IIT, Tirupati is a co-ed institution which offers multiple undergraduate courses such as B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, B.Tech in Civil & Environmental Engineering, B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, BTech in Electrical Engineering, and BTech in Mechanical Engineering. IIT, Tirupati conducts an online admission process which is merit-based. It is important for students to meet all the eligibility criteria. Candidates have to appear for the JEE advanced to get admission to B.Tech programmes.
Basic academic facilities provided by the IIT, Tirupati include a traditional library with numerous books, print journals, and periodicals; a digital library with e-resources; various department-specific labs including a computer lab; well-furnished smart classrooms; on-campus WIFI access and an auditorium. Apart from this, the IIT, Tirupati also offers separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls; outdoor sports facilities such as 1 football ground, 1 basketball court, 1 volleyball court; indoor sports facilities like a well-equipped gym, recreation room; on-campus ATM; and a cafeteria for providing hygienic food.

Admission Procedure
Indian Institute of Technology, Tirupati conducts an online admission procedure. The students (co-ed) are required to qualify for the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE- Main) after they complete their 10+2 level examination with subjects like Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects in their higher secondary. The final admissions are provided on the basis of the marks scored by the students. IIT, Tirupati provides admission to B.tech courses with five specializations and M.Tech, MSc., MS Research and PhD course. The students are required to qualify for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) entrance exam for M.Tech course admission and Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) to M.Sc admission.
