Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur is located on a massive campus that spans 420 hectares in Kanpur. It offers excellent on-campus learning experience with 108 buildings that have been outfitted with cutting-edge amenities for students.
Academic buildings, hostels where accommodation can be availed separately for boys and girls, a library called ‘P.K Kelkar Library’ that has a vast collection of books, journals, thesis, periodicals, magazines, newspapers etc. Also it is air-conditioned and has a reading room too, a canteen that serves hygienic veg and non-veg food, several sports facilities for playing indoor and outdoor games such as basketball, volleyball, football, badminton, table tennis, chess, squash, cricket and many more, an auditorium and several conference and seminar halls, a computer centre, a central workshop, world-class laboratories for different subjects in the respected departments and other amenities are included in the infrastructure of IIT, Kanpur.
In addition to these infrastructural amenities, the campus has a strong IT infrastructure which guarantees that internet connectivity is available and accessible to faculty and students around-the-clock. Also, the campus has several bank ATMs for the students such as SBI ATM, PNB ATM, ICICI bank ATM etc.
